A grown up birthday shoot!

Happy Birthday Evelyn!

99% of the time we get phone calls asking “Do you do children’s birthday shoots?”. So when Evelyn called up and asked for one and telling us she is an adult we got SO excited. She asked for something along the maternity session route which actually made a lot of sense! One of my favourite shoot types are maternity sessions, this is because there is room for a lot of creativity with a bit more of a magazine style focus. Evelyn knew this is exactly what she wanted, something along that route but without the bump. Naturally I jumped at the chance and invited her straight in. We made a plan to keep things quite simple and focus on good makeup, hair and lighting without too many props and distractions.

We had a lot of fun and captured a nice amount of variety for her to share on her birthday with her social followers, friends and family. I certainly think I would consider doing something along these lines more often. After all, why should we leave the kids to have all the fun!?
