Maternity Photography

Maternity photography really captures the beauty of the female body. It shows how adaptive the body can be. Maternity photography is starting to become a lot more popular in the UK now.  It has been catapulted into popularity by celebrities posting their own shoots on social media.

The aim of these sessions are to capture the precious moments of pregnancy for you to look back on for year to come. Many women feel their best whilst pregnant. And why shouldn’t you? You are stunning. The pregnant body is such a blessing that it really should be shown off for all the world to see.

We make sure our sessions are relaxed and inviting. However, If you’re shy in front of the camera, we aim to put you at ease. We will discuss poses with you and guide you through the shoot. Throughout the session we will keep you hydrated to keep the skin glowing and we even provide maternity dresses if you book the luxe session. This option also comes with a make up artist. They will consult you on what look to go for and you will receive more drinks and nibbles as you get pampered.

Tips and Tricks:

• Exfoliate the skin thoroughly the night before. This will allow the skin to look as smooth and soft as possible when shooting.
• Look at maternity poses on Pinterest. You can even check out our past clients on Instagram or Facebook. This will give you an idea of style and images you may like for your shoot.
• If you’re not having a make over, we suggest a neutral make up base. Apply more than usual as this will help the camera pick up more details.
• Bring nude underwear. A few varieties will help. Non-VPL work best.
• Keep your clothing colour palette neutral. Clothes in white and black work best. Clothes with movement such as maxi dresses are good too.
• Get your family or partner to match you clothing colour palette. It just so much more professional and smart in print.
• Remember to have fun. This is such a precious time. You need to enjoy every moment.
