Ava’s Newborn Session

Oh my goodness! You’re all in for a treat today! Ava’s newborn session was the dream. We welcomed mum, dad and baby to our studio and immediately fell in love with the whole family. Mum and dad were so chilled and easy going, we knew this would be the perfect morning. Mum raved about Leeds General Infirmary, saying the midwifes couldn’t do enough for her. However, having to be induced due to pre-eclampsia, mum said the whole experience was much better than she expected. And now she was floating in a newborn bubble of love. 

Baby Ava was a strong little girl already, kicking her legs out of the swaddle and giving us them eyes. For the most part, she was an active mover in the womb mum said, and she certainly wasn’t changing now she was on the outside. She also had quite a grip on her. Because when she had her dummy and was about to nod off, we would try to take the dummy out. Ava locked down on it so hard that we physically couldn’t prise it free. Only when she was ready could we take it from her. A determined little lady already.

We now give our new parents a questionnaire to complete whilst little one is busy playing model. This way, we can gather more information that could help other expectant parents. A couple of things mum said was:

• She craved pickled onions
• Stock up on all the muslins – you can never have too many!
• One pregnancy purchase that she wouldn’t recommend was a pregnancy pillow

Ava’s newborn session was such a brilliant experience. She was the perfect baby model. She shinned as bright as a star for the whole shoot! Get booked in to capture your little one for their first photo shoot.
