Meet the team

Everyone likes to know about who they will be dealing with behind the camera because of course, having your photos taken can be quite a daunting and very personal experience. So with this in mind I thought it only best to put face-to-name and tell you a little bit about our team. To meet demand, Meagan has trained another photographer to her own standards and together photograph most family milestones including - pregnancy photography, newborn photography, 6 months sitter sessions, first birthday cake smash photography, family photography and more. Both Meagan and Katie are qualified professional photographers who have both obtained BA Honours in photographic practice from university and between them hold over 20 years of photographic experience.

Hello! This is me Meagan, and I live in Horsforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire.  I studied at Carlisle Institute Of The Arts and graduated with a BA Honors degree in photographic practice. Before setting up my own photographic studio, I worked alongside the North East’s leading wedding and portrait photographer ( Yes I am a Geordie lass!) for a number of years, assisting in every aspect of photography.

My passion and creativity for wedding photography and newborns are supported by my technical expertise in this digital era. Lucky for me I began studying all things Film which I firmly believe is the key to becoming a true photographer.  It is this mix that enables me to capture the essence of the subject, the moment and the surroundings without having to spend too much time on the technical side of things.

I pride myself on being easy to talk to and I really do enjoy making others feel good about themselves inside and out. My studio (My second home!) is a relaxing and comfortable environment for you to easily relax into your photo session. This is where your portrait session will take place and is easy to find in Horsforth, Leeds. Location based photography is no problem and I have a comprehensive array of location lighting equipment to bring sunshine to the greyest of days!

You are also assured of the highest quality of photographic equipment, as well as the best in modern software which allows me to create the best images for you in the post production phase.

‘Ey Up, I’m Katie, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. I graduated from Huddersfield University in 2017 with a BA of Arts with Honours with Upper Second Class in Photography and a Master of Arts with Merit in Digital Media. After completing my studies, I set out to pursue my passion for photography and was fortunate to join Meagan Sarah Photography in November 2017. It’s been an incredible journey in my career ever since. 

At Meagan Sarah Photography, I have received extensive training across various areas of studio photography, including Newborn, Cake Smash, and Family photoshoots. I especially enjoy working with children, and my previous experience in childcare at schools and nurseries has been helpful in creating a comfortable environment for our clients.

Over the years, my role has evolved significantly, starting as a Junior Assistant and now as a Second Photographer, Editor, and Client Coordinator. Each of these roles is something I take great pride in and am truly passionate about.

The studio feels like a second home to me, and I’m committed to ensuring every client has a relaxed and enjoyable experience, especially when working with children. My goal during a session is to create a fun atmosphere where families can cherish their photos and, by the end of their journey, have beautiful wall art in their homes to keep those special memories alive for years to come.
