Newborn Finlay’s First Shoot

After a whirlwind romance of love, bank holidays and DIY, Louise and Adrian were blessed with the news that they were expecting a little baby boy. Then after a long nine months of waiting, little Finlay finally arrived.

Finlay was so calm and quiet during the whole shoot. He was so calm that he didn’t even cry one bit even when getting changed, which is quite rare. However, he decided that he was hungry and we happily waited until his tummy was full before continuing.

One of the funniest moment at Finlay’s shoot was when his dad, Adrian, was changing him. Finlay managed to poo straight into his dad’s hand! It was so funny!

Once Finlay was settled, I was able to to get a variety of shots and poses from him. My favourite pose to get is ones of them on their belly. Fortunately, Finlay seemed the most content whilst lying on his belly.

When picking the coloured fabric kept to the simple colour theme of white and greys. This is as they are Louise’s prefered colour and as their home is a neutral colour.

I love when my clients live local to me and I have a feeling that I will run into these three again sometime. It would be lovely to see how Finlay develops as time goes by. It was a delight to meet Finlay’s parents, we chatted about babies and local life over endless cups of tea and biscuits.
